Sorry for the delay folks.....

Hey Gang,

I have been down with the flu, so had to talk a couple weeks off my project to recover, but all is well, and I am up and at it again.

I had a very interesting experience as well. I woke up briefly yesterday morning, and sat up in bed, while I was waiting on the coffee. I fell back to sleep and then I heard several women talking. I couldn't move, yet did not feel any menacing feeling or anything of that sort. I couldn't grasp what they were talking about, but they were talking up a storm. Now I have been told that some believe that SP is just memories that occur while we are in REM sleep and our brains awake before our bodies. Our brain then protects our bodies by paralyzing us.

This type of situation may fit into such a theory, but I do not believe the evil presence that is felt by so many is. This again brings up the question is there something evil that takes advantage of the state of sleep paralysis itself? We could compare it to a theif taking advantage of a family being away from their home on vacation. The thief knows the family is gone, so they are free to rob. Could the presence/entity be taking advantage of a unprotected body?

These are the things that must be looked at in my opinion. All angles must be addressed.

What is Sleep Paralysis / Old Hag Syndrome

Welcome, to start with I am a SP/old hag victim and need validation as to what the experience really means.

In my opinion they are two seperate events that occur right before you fall asleep. I believe the "old hag syndrome" is a more paranormal event that is similiar to sleep paralysis. I hope this blog will open up a discussion between the two and the fact that it is happening more and more. What once was a rare event is happening to more and more people. The first time I experience the Phenomena, no one knew what I was talking about, and people that were the closest to me thought I was loosing my mind, as I was afraid to go to sleep. I learned to not tell anyone anymore, and now years later, so many have approached me with the question of you ever heard of sleep paralysis? I find myself still wondering what in the heck happened to me nightly for almost a year, and about twice a year now.

I will be posting links to alot of my research and would like to hear everyone experience as it has occured to them. Especially the dark figure cloaked in black with a hood who seems faceless. Please don't hold back, you would be suprised at how many people are actually hearing, seeing and feeling things.
