This the comment I received, please offer your comments, and support and of course I will offer mine i was just 13 years old when the first time it happened to me. . I was sleeping, and suddenly woke up.. I was unable to move. I was trying to move my right leg.. But it was too difficult, it felt so heavy.. I tried to open my eyes, but nothing was happening. I felt something evil. I was so scared,, i tried to scream but nothing was coming out of my mouth.. It felt something is going wrong.. I was trying my best to move.. And then i felt like somethin is upon me, i mean my body became so heavy than it is.. I was totally scared, i did'nt knew what to do. Then suddenly i woke up. It was too dark, and i saw some kind of shadows on the wall. I just ran out of my room, and went to my mothher's room.. I got to her bed. And i was shivering:... I did'nt told anyone about this incident. But afer some days, again it happened. Now m 16 and in these 2 years it happened more than 6-7 times.. Every night before sleep i pray to god because i dont want to have that kind sleep paralysis ever again... The fear which we feel at that time.. It's so scaring, sometimes wen it happens i try to scream and, and my day starts with those screams,, i told this to my friends, but they dont believe me, they just take it as a joke. Hmm, but i know how it feels like if it really happens.. It's much more worse than nightmares.. Ok people lets offer her our support, we know how hard it is to be a adult, but a young person experiencing this is just not right. |

A tip received from a reader Please let us know if you have experienced this
Email from Reader
Hello there. I am emailing because I just now found your sleep paralysis website and forum, and I noticed most of the posts on there are a couple years old, so not sure how much you are on there now, but I believe I have some help for anyone suffering from the "old hag".
I did register / sign up; just waiting on confirmation email, but like I said, I wasn't sure how much the site was used.
Anyway, I started suffering from sleep paralysis when I was 17 years old, although I never knew there was a name for it until I was about 28 and told a friend about it who then looked up the symptoms online. After that, I still "suffered" from the same experiences, just felt some slight relief that it had a name and I was not alone.
At age 32 I threw out my back at work, and I knew I would have no choice but to see a chiropractor - something I never thought I would ever do, because I thought chiropractors were basicly "quacks"(?) But, at this point, my back was messed up so bad, I couldn't function at work, so I risked it and went to see someone a co-worker reccommended.
Well, not only did this guy fix my back, but I started noticing other, seemingly unrelated issues being resolved - no more sinus infections, breathing easier, more energy, feeling "better" in general, and go figure, I stopped having sleep paralyisis!
As bad as it was, for all those years, this was no less than a real miracle. I have no idea what the relation is to the spine/nerves/whatever, and my chiropractor had never heard of sleep paralysis and can not explain it to me. But I would reccommend it for anyone. Now, I might have an episode every 3 months or so, and that is how I know it's time for an adjustment. With other issues I have, I usually don't make it that long without back, neck, or sinus pain, but I can suffer through those for the extra 3 or 4 weeks - but, as soon as I notice my sleep becoming disturbed, I get in there and get myself adjusted!
I believe and would love to know if chiropractic could help others with sleep paralysis. I feel very strongly about this, but it seems most people are skeptical. I am hoping you could help me get the word out, at least give people something to try, because I know from experience what a desparate feeling it is - and how great a relief it is to not have to be afraid to go to sleep at night.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and consider putting the info on your site
This is the email I received from a reader. I am still trying to get internet as I live out in the woods and cannot find a provider in my area. I will try to write as much as I can.

Another great post from ghost stories regarding SP/OLD HAG
If for some reason you can't bring up the page it reads and I quote directly
"Sleep Paralysis ~ Scientific Explanations And The Old Hag Legends
Sleep Paralysis has been known for a long time. Throughout the history of mankind there have been the reports of people awakening to feel a sense of weight on their chests and an inability to move their limbs to escape this pressure. People who experience this phenomena almost unanimously describe a feeling of panic and fear at their experience which can last long after the paralysis of their bodies has faded and they can move again.
Legends have arisen in every culture as a means of explaining this sensation, now called sleep paralysis. Hebrew legends equate the night hag with Adam's first wife, Lilith ( More about Lilith ). More commonly the European view from the Middle Ages was that a witch or other demonic entity was sitting on their bodies and trying to entrap their souls. But whether the night hag is thought to be an old woman, witch, devil, incubi or succubi, there is rarely reported an actual visual presence and the victims are left to fear that such a thing will happen to them again.
Modern scientific study has discovered a common feature with most of these sleep paralysis events and a physiological cause for the most pronounced symptoms. It has been discovered that during sleep the brain releases a hormone into the blood stream that will paralyze the major muscle groups to prevent locomotion. In this way, the body can rest while the mind is working its way through dreams. This hormone is designed to prevent the body from hurting itself during the unconscious sleep state. Those who have had too little of the hormone introduced are subject to limb thrashing and sleepwalking as the person acts out the events of their dreams.
The medical explanation of sleep paralysis is that as a person rouses from the deeper sleep cycle, the hormone will take a few moments to wear off and release the muscles of the arms and legs, thus causing a brief period where the paralysis lingers. Generally it only takes a few seconds for this to fade, but even such a brief time can cause panic in many people. That a sense of fear or dread accompanies this sensation can be understood in that one of the major triggers for sleep paralysis is extreme stress in one's life.
While the medical profession considers all the sensations of sleep paralysis to be psychosomatic, paranormal researchers have often encountered stories of being held down or choked in places that exhibit poltergeist activity. There have been other reports, some as recent as the early 1990's, of a person's spouse entering the room where their partner is experiencing "sleep paralysis" and seen a dark shadowy form fleeing the bed of the victim.
There has yet to be discovered a practical way to study any but the most physiological aspects of this phenomena. That it has been a fact throughout the history of man could lend weight to the totally mundane explanation. But there has also been the belief of malicious spirits bent on harming the living for as long as humans can remember. Does the truth lie somewhere in between? Could it not be equally valid that certain dark spirits use this physical effect in an effort to attack the souls of the living when they are in a defenseless position?

Another experience from one of my readers
Comments : I'm a 33 year old female and have experienced sleep paralysis prior to 10 years of age. I no longer take naps due to the happenings. This weekend I woke up at 5am and went back to sleep an hour later and had it surprisingly happened again. This time it was different. My mind woke while body was still asleep (sleeping on my side no less)and a white creature came out of the wall who I recall in my head referring to it as a demon/devil and I said to "it" you can get me, then I finally woke up. Just strange because typically I will feel things fly around the room or lay on my chest but the creature has never been so vivid...black lips and black horns coming out of the wall and a white face...just very distinct and made an impression. I wish I understood or can explain why this happens or what is happening. Do we really hallucinate? Has anyone ever saw the same thing? I can see my entire room like always while I lay their sleeping but the creature was so distinct. Any thoughts or insight?

The folklore of Sleep Paralysis / Old hag Syndrome
According to From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have edited with ()
The original definition of sleep paralysis was codified by Dr. Samuel Johnson in his A Dictionary of the English Language as "nightmare," a term that evolved into our modern definition. Such sleep paralysis was widely considered to be the work of demons and more specifically incubi,(which we have covered and will cover more) which were thought to sit on the chests of sleepers. In Old English the name for these beings was mare or mære (from a proto-Germanic *marōn, cf. Old Norse mara), hence comes the mare part in nightmare. The word might be etymologically cognate to HellenicMarōn (in the Odyssey) and Sanskrit Māra.
Folk belief in Newfoundland, South Carolina and Georgia describe the negative figure of the Hag who leaves her physical body at night, and sits on the chest of her victim. The victim usually wakes with a feeling of terror, has difficulty breathing because of a perceived heavy invisible weight on his or her chest, and is unable to move i.e., experiences sleep paralysis. This nightmare experience is described as being "hag-ridden" in the Gullah lore. The "Old Hag" was a nightmare spirit in British and also Anglophone North American folklore.
In Fiji the experience is interpreted as "kana tevoro" being 'eaten' or possessed by a demon. In many cases the 'demon' can be the spirit of a recently dead relative who has come back for some unfinished business, or has come to communicate some important news to the living. Often persons sleeping near the afflicted person say "kania, kania" (eat! eat!) in an attempt to prolong the possession for a chance to converse with the dead relative or spirit and seek answers as to why he/she has come back. The person waking up from the experience is often asked to immediately curse or chase the spirit of the dead relative, which sometimes involves literally speaking to the spirit telling him/her to go away or using expletives.
In Nigeria, "ISP appears to be far more common and recurrent among people of African descent than among whites or Nigerian Africans"and is often referred to within African communities as "the Devil on your back.
In Turkey and in many of islamic beliefs, Sleep Paralysis is called "Karabasan"(this will be in our next post) which is very similar to the classic story of a demon visiting a person in sleep. Basically an islamic demon [(most commonly people say it is a Djinn (Cin in Turkish)] comes to one's room, holds him down hardly enough to not allow any kind of movement, starts to strangle the person and actually many people say that they hear the voice of the djinn or satan. To get rid of the demonic creature, one needs to pray to God (Allah in islamic beliefs) with certain lines from Quran. If one does not pray soon enough, it is said that the demonic creature will kill the person by strangling. Some woman actually believe the creature raped them through this process due to waking up with pain around the area of their genitalia and with a feeling of a headache.
Various forms of magic and spiritual possession were also advanced as causes. In nineteenth century Europe, the vagaries of diet were thought to be responsible. For example, in Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge attributes the ghost he sees to "... an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of an underdone potato..." In a similar vein, the Household Cyclopedia (1881) offers the following advice about nightmares:
"Great attention is to be paid to regularity and choice of diet. Intemperance of every kind is hurtful, but nothing is more productive of this disease than drinking bad wine. Of eatables those which are most prejudicial are all fat and greasy meats and pastry... Moderate exercise contributes in a superior degree to promote the digestion of food and prevent flatulence; those, however, who are necessarily confined to a sedentary occupation, should particularly avoid applying themselves to study or bodily labor immediately after eating... Going to bed before the usual hour is a frequent cause of night-mare, as it either occasions the patient to sleep too long or to lie long awake in the night. Passing a whole night or part of a night without rest likewise gives birth to the disease, as it occasions the patient, on the succeeding night, to sleep too soundly. Indulging in sleep too late in the morning, is an almost certain method to bring on the paroxysm, and the more frequently it returns, the greater strength it acquires; the propensity to sleep at this time is almost irresistible.
(We have covered some of this in the past, but I would like to cover each culture and their differences to see what we find relates. Sleep Paralysis / Old hag Syndrome / Karabasan AND Djinn
According to Islam Djnn is an invisible spirit mentioned in the Koran and believed by Muslims to inhabit the earth and influence mankind by appearing in the form of humans or animals.
- In Arabic, a genie (also jinn, Djinn, from Arabic جني jinnī) is a supernatural creature which occupies aparallel world to that of mankind, and together with humans and angels makes up the three sentient creations of God (Allah). Possessing free will, a djinn can be either good or evil.
- An invisible spirit that influences mankind by appearing in human or animal form; A supernatural being with extraordinary powers that usually takes a human form and serves its summoner

Djin or or genies as their are numerous spellings are supernatural creatures in Arab folklore and Islamic teachings which occupy a parallel world to that of mankind. Together, jinn, humans and angels make up the three sentient creations of Allah. According to the Qur’ān, there are two creations that have free will[citation needed]: humans and jinn. Religious sources say barely anything about them; however, the Qur’an mentions that jinn are made of smokeless flame or "scorching fire".[1] Like human beings, the jinn can also be good, evil, or neutrally benevolent.[2]
The jinn are mentioned frequently in the Qur’an, and there is a surah entitled Sūrat al-Jinn in the Quran
- Karabasan - Sleep paralysis is paralysis associated with sleep which may occur in normal subjects or be associated with narcolepsy, cataplexy, and hypnagogic hallucinations. The pathophysiology of this condition is closely related to the normal hypotonia that occur during REM sleep. ...
No matter which country or religion we find a name for the old hag syndrome which I have outlined and defined on my website. What I am trying to do now is expand on those definitions to see what else is out there for us to compare these definitions to, as well as experiences.

- "Great attention is to be paid to regularity and choice of diet.

One thing that truly bothers me with the medical explanations on SP
If it was just normal lucid dreaming and so forth, why are we all having the same dream. The same evil presence in the room. Hearing whispering. A lot of us seeing the very tall dark robe guy and then sometimes very short presence as well. Why wouldn't it match our fears, such as snakes all over us, or whatever our worst fear is. It makes no since, and I have yet to read anything conclusive to explain SP, just guesses, that it could be sleep apnea or lack of sleep or because you are sleeping on your BACK, I mean give me a break, at least acknowledge the fact most of us have a brain.

Another reader's story
Just yesterday, I layed down for a nap around noon. I was laying on my back sleeping and I started hearing things on my dresser moving around and heard footsteps coming toward my bed. I tried to open my eyes but couldn't. I couldn't move by body or even open my eyes. The footsteps stopped right beside my bed. I gathered all of my strength and was able to open my eyes enough to see a woman leaning over toward me and she layed her upper body on my chest and whispered, "Hello Honey." I was terrified. Her face was a black hole, no features, and she had black stringy hair. I tried my hardest to wake up but couldn't. She stood back up and I heard her footsteps walking away and then I started hearing things moving around again on my dresser. I tried to call for my boyfriend, but no sound would come out. I fell back to sleep and a few minutes later, the whole episode took place again, exactly as it happened the first time. Finally after what felt like an hour, I
took a deep beath and woke myself up. Last night I was so scared to fall asleep, I slept with my Bible under my pillow

just came across old-hag , while surfing the web
Hi Sheri
I just came across old-hag , while surfing the web.
I really enjoyed reading about peoples experiences , of course it is far from enjoyable.
So I feel compelled to tell you about my experiences , which in some ways are so much the same but also so very different.
My experiences didn't start until I was 27 years old , and they always happen in the middle of the night. I have always felt the presence of someone(except for my last incident) but have never seen anyone(except for an incident early this year).
My first time happened when I had just moved back to my hometown , and was staying at my sisters . I woke in the middle of the night with what felt like some one pinning me down and choking the life out of me. I didn't feel hands around my neck , but rather my airway some how being obstructed. There was a bright moon shining through the window , and I could see around the room perfectly , but I couldn't see anyone on top of me. I tried to fight and scream , but was completely paralyzed . I'm sure that this went on for about 15 minutes , and I kept trying to fight and scream the whole time. Then it just suddenly ended and was over as if it had never happened
I was so exhausted that I fell asleep even though it was the most terrifying thing that had ever happened to me. I told myself that it was just a nightmare and put it out of my mind. Of course I knew better , but it was easier to be in denial .
After that it seemed to happen about once a year until last year. Being that it was only happening once a year it was easy enough for me to block it from my mind and not allow myself to think about it in between incidents. I should also add that the following yearly incidents never lasted more than 5 minutes and I didn't feel like I was being choked.
Then last year (2009) , it suddenly started happening about once a month. The experiences didn't change any from the previous yearly ones , other than the frequency.
I suddenly found myself having to face this strange phenomenon , as I was afraid to go to sleep.
I started talking about it with people and found that my brother in-law and a co-worker had the same phenomenon happening with them. That made me feel a little better , knowing that it wasn't just me under attack.
Then early this year I had an incident that was quite different. The previous times I had always been on my back when it happened. This time I was on my side when I awoke to being yanked up out of my bed . At the foot of my bed was a shadow figure that had a hold of me and was trying to yanked me right out of bed. It had me pulled into a sitting position and it was flailing so wild and crazy that I cant even come up with words to describe how it looked , other than no human could ever replicate it. Just as strange was the fact that I was being pulled into an upright position but my body was still lying on its side. It was as if it was pulling my spirit out of my body. I tried to fight and scream but was completely paralyzed . Then it was over , just like that. That part has always troubled me as much as the actual event . How can it just end in an instant as if it had never happened ?. The feeling of another presence is gone and everything always just feels normal again , and my feeling of pure terror that I was experiencing just vanishes along with the whole incident!.
After that incident about 7 months went by , I cant remember exactly but I believe it was this past August that I had my last incident . First I should say that this past spring I had a little house dog given to me from a friend that was moving and couldn't take him. He sleeps on my bed with me , I didn't want him on the bed but it broke his little heart if I didn't let him , so I gave in.
Anyway , in August I awoke in the middle of the night paralyzed but I didn't have the sense that there was another presence. I was just paralyzed and fighting to get out of it , I should add that I have been able to fight my way out of them and I believe that is why they don't last as long as they did in the beginning. I have always thought that I was making a little noise even though I was trying to scream as loud as I could. Anyway here I was struggling and screaming when all of a sudden my little dog jumped up and stared into my face and barked at me , and that was all it took to end it. I was never so thankful for letting him sleep on my bed even though I didn't want him there , I want him there now.
So there you have it , I didn't post on the site because I knew that I would go on and on.
Feel free to post any or all of this if you like.
I also have a most interesting theory about what is going on to cause all of this with me, that I would be happy to share if you are interested.

More old hag experiences
For the past few years I have had contact with invisible beings and out of body experiences; all in bed. I've also had many experiences with lucid dreaming. I don’t know why it happens -- it just happens. A typical occurrence is me waking up, completely paralyzed (yet fully conscious), able to feel and hear things happening in the room. I believe the first time I actually encountered a being was my third semester in college when I was lying on my belly in my room with all of the lights on, taking a nap. No one else was in the room, and I woke up paralyzed, unable to move. I heard (what sounded like) many whispers, all in different (possibly the same, but definitely foreign) languages. I could not make out exactly what any of the whispers were, but I did get this: “veng-eance” with a long draw on the “g.” It was a sad and moppy tone, but I heard it clearly, in my right ear specifically … In other attacks I’ve heard angry voices yelling at me and ending with “you’re going to burn in hell.”
More from readers with their old hag experiences
hello my name is Theresa McCeney and i have had a problem with sleeping ever since i was a little girl. I am 20 years old and tonight just had to make me drawl the line on what was happening to me while asleep. I am going to explain EVERYTHING and it may sound absoulutely crazy but I am REACHING out for help. When asleep my heart races very very fast like it is about to explode. I can not open my eyes nor move any of my body parts. When i do try to open my eyes i sometime see figures and i sometimes hear things whispering in my ear. I have night terrors along with the sleep paralysis usually. Tonight i had i dream that GOD yes GOD was talking to me and i was communicating with him through my mind. I seriously felt like this overwelming power and my sould being raised out of my body. I could feel god laying next to me on my bed. he was showing me what had happened to me last night and i asked my friend about it and he told me that part of it was true. I was passed out last night and he showed me a vision on my friend going into my room and holding my hand. He said he did hold my hand and that i was mumbling something in my sleep. I do not remember any of this. He also told me that when i just texted him that something told him that he needed to go check his phone. I am freaked out and i also feel very alone and crazy. Ive thought demons were possesing me and i the devil was telling me to worship him and not jesus because jesus peeks in my windows at night? I think this could be a way for supernatural things like ghosts, demons, angels, god, etc to have actual contact with people and possibly hurt them or take their souls. i need more imformation about this. please contact me back with any questions to this and i will tell you everything i know from experience. Ive thought demons were trying to get in me, the devil was taking my soul, and ghost were talking to me. This all seemed 100% real but yet i do not know if i was asleep or if my body was and mind was not?
Another old hag encounter
To Whom it may Concern,
Hello. I am writing to you in response to "sleep paralysis" or whatver it is. My name is Brent, Catholic, a relgious brother in a Congregation. I first had something happen to me about 8 years ago. It was probably one of the most weirdest things I ever experienced. It has happened since, not too much. But enough to make you think. What exactly is this?
It's very interesting. The first time I was a sophomore in college. During the whole thing I was -- thought it was a dream. About a week later my friends and I were out eating dinner. Somehow we started talking about things, this very thing. One of my friends was talking about an experience that they had. Upon hearing it I was locked in immedietely. I was like..wait a minute..the same thing happened to me that same night I think,...but I thought it was a dream. Then about 2 other of my friends encountered the same thing that night. First off, it was strange because at this dorm room building people had experienced paranormal activity.
My experience goes as this. I woke up. Both hand were at my sides. I could not move a single muscle. I remember trying my hardest to lift my head up. This was near to impossible. I remember trying to say something to my roommate. I could not say anything. I noticed this and so I wanted to yell, but could not get a peep out. It was very strange. I rememeber falling back asleep, waking up, and still feeling it. So I just closed my eyes and went back to sleep. I honestly did not think of anything the following morning because I thought it was part of a dream. The strange part was hearing my friend talk about the same exact experience, and i thought to myself...wait a minute...that happened to me ..in my dream?? And it not only happened to her, but also to some other friends either that same night or during the same week. I had just brushed the whole thing off, it wasn't until other people started to talk about it i was kind of floored. i was
like..what is this?
That was one of the strogest instances, and I rarely get it. It is not a regular thing. I might happen 2 times a year or so. I have another instance that is probably the most vivid one...I was a junior in college. First off, I want to tell you that I am a religious person. I definetly believe in good/evil. Demons and angels. We as Catholics believe that Christ is our Saviour and that Satan tries to deceive/get us to son/doubt and what have you. We believe Christ is a merciful. Well there is an image of Christ called the image of the Divine Mercy. It was given to Christ to a polish nun in the 1930's in Poland, now St. Faustina. Well, on this particular night it was as if someone was mocking Christ in the Divine Mercy Image. I saw the image in a dream, and it was turning round and round, as if someone was poking fun of it--that Christ was not merciful. I woke up, and could not move. This was the most violent one. It literally felt as if
someone wanted me dead. Again i could not move. Started to say Jesus, mary and Jospeh in my mind, and it went away...So. I mean I have heard of the "sleep paralysis" thing. But I really don't know. It could be. but then again. It seems strange that people would encounter the same thing around the same time, or the same night.
Whatver it is, if it tries to shake me up it doesn't because I believe that God is stronger. The reason why I share this is I believe that we are living in a time that is induced with more and more evil things do to factors in society, that glorifies things such as ouija board and other things. I don't step anywhere towards those type of things because they only open a door to the unknown. I believe that people do get possessed by demons, and it has been recorded that people have become posessed by using such things. They do not know what they are playing with.
I tell you these things because i experienced it again lastnight. And it was pretty powerful again. I was like ok, what really is this? I have heard oh yeah..sleep paralysis...but then again I don't really know. No one does. But I do know the fact that down throughout so many ages in folklore , and in so many different, actually continents have attributed it to some entity seems strange to me. And this being holy week in the Catholic church, and it happening lastnight, and violently seems strange to me...and the fact that I am in seminary. Maybe someone doesn't like the thing that I am doing. Maybe it wants to somehow to intimidate me? Could be..but maybe not.
Anyways I find this interesting and I personally believe that medical doctors cannot account for everything. There are just some things science can not explain. It's a mystery. ...cue the eerie music, ha. But God bless and I hope all is well.

The same thing happened to me! I was overwhelmed by a feeling of absolute evil and I couldn't move. It took my face and smashed it against the wall. I could feel my broken teeth in my mouth. I thought, "This is the devil. And if there is a devil then there has to be a God!" I was immediately released. This happened to me 20 years ago and hasn't happened since.
Another Reader experience with the old hag
Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Does the old hag / sleep paralysis occur while in ...":
I have been having the Sleep paralysis or old hag syndrom since I was about 12 or 13.
The weird thing about my first or second experience is that...my papaw was holding me down with his cane. I couldn't move or anything. Then I awoke out of it and it still felt so real.
That was the last time that it took on a shape of a family member.
A few years later I was lying in bed and I would got through it and think I am out of it but I was still in it(if that makes any sense) It was like a hag expeirence in a hag expeirence over and over again. I started hearinf voices, namely what I think of as my Nanny's voice. Though I couldn't see or hear anyone. I felt as if someone was always there.
When I moved in with my aunt last year they got worst. I personally think my aunt's house is haunted...not just my hag expierences go one in that house. =]
But anywho it started to get different. I sensed as well as saw a shadowy figure but he(I refer to him as a he) never neared me it seemed but I still felt as if I was being held down..
Back in the summer I went threw one that had me freaking out. The shadowy man was there and it felt like he was taunting me as always. Like he thinks it's funny I can't stop what he is doing to me...well My mamaw(who passed away several months before) suddenly appeared and said leave her alone! My mamaw is like uber religious..and then he said I will never leave her alone.though it seemed I regonized the voice..like what you said your(Hag, Demon,) told you. Then someone screamed my mamaw's name and suddenly I was able to move again..
Then just this morning I was having another hag expeirence and I couldn't move my senses got hightened and I saw the shadowy man again. But He was always on my sister's side of the room. My mind started screaming sisters name and then he was at my side and said amanda amanda...taunting me again. Then I could move.
I was so freaked out. After I got out of the shower this morning I started thinking about whether it is a sleep paralysis or something more paranormal. And I said nah it is definetly sleep paralysis it can't be real. A second later the razon in my shower fell. (It might mean something or not but it was strange.) I jumped and I was like definetly real!
My mother believes in demons, ghost, and the like. My father is a sceptic and I can understand both sides. But it is they never expeirenced what happened to mean..so they can't really know how scared or insane I feel.

New post from reader on old hag
Dear everyone,
As many of you I too had these experiences multiple times in my life. Im now 21 and living in the netherlands. I know how frightning it can be.
This week I've experienced the last old hag syndrome. I had slept a several hours and i woke up around 1 in the morning. Ive been a awake for several min when i feel a pressence. Unwanted, dark and it chills me to the bone. Then again out of nowhere my body starts to tingle like hands are trying to pull me down. im frightened i cant move react and speak for a moment then it releases me to hit for a second time much stronger then the one before. after 30 sec it releases me. terrified im waking up my boyfriend to tell him im scared. He reacts like a dickhead that there is nothing and he wants to sleep like i dont need it. I cant relay on him so im leaving the light on for a few minutes then my boyfriends suddenly turns the light of. Then I feel a bad pressence again. Like its wandering around in my bedroom. When i say to it in my head to leave me alone it suddenly dissapears. I slept bad again for the rest of the night.
If something ive learned is that you need to be carefull who your telling it to because everyone acts so different to it.
My boyfriend is someone more bound to earth type. Ive red al the articles about sleep paralasys but believe yourself when there is no explanation, keep faithfull to yourself. Enough people have the same experiences and sience cant declare evrything in life. The ones trying to explain most of the time dont have the faintest idea where youre talking about.
Stay Faithfull to youself and till then A big hug to help you trough the night.
