I have listed the above as keywords to help people find this blog. As most of us know, we did not know what was happening to us, the use of NightMares, Night Terrors, Ghosts, Black Robed Figure, Paralyzed, and suggestions from one of my fellow forum members robed figure" or "luminous robed figure" "hovering robed figure". These key words are to help you find us, so we can help you!
It has been written by John Stuart Mill "Why Consider Opposing Viewpoints? "The only way in which a human being can make some approach to knowing the whole of a subject is by hearing what can be said about it by persons of every variety of opinion and studying all modes in which it can be looked at by every character of mind. No wise man ever acquired his wisdom in any mode but this."
Of course in today's time of technology and media there are varying opinions of different kinds of view everywhere we turn. The importance of such is to decide which opinions are the credible opinions that have documentation, studies, witnesses and more to back up their theories. Sleep Paralysis with a supernatural, paranormal viewpoint, is frightening in itself, as then we must then recognize that yes there is paranormal entities sharing our space. There may be ghosts UFO's and much more. If we agree that there is something paranormal going on, then we must agree that paranormal exists. Many are afarid to do just that, acknowledge that this is a supernatural, paranormal experience.
A College in London explains "Sleep paralysis, a momentary inability to move one’s limbs, trunk and head despite being fully conscious, may occur when someone is either drifting off or, more rarely, waking up. During rapid-eye-movement (REM) sleep, the muscles of the body are paralyzed, presumably to prevent the dreamer from physically acting out the dream. Researchers are not sure why this normal paralysis happens during consciousness for victims of sleep paralysis, but psychophysiological studies have confirmed that attacks are particularly likely to occur if the person enters REM sleep quickly after hitting the pillow, bypassing the stages of non-REM sleep that usually happen first."
Does this explain anything to you? Does this explain the menacing black robed figure hovering over your bed? Does this explain why you hear footsteps and whispers? Does this explain why you are more frightened then ever before in your life. NO, Researchers are not sure. That explains nothing. Does normal sleep paralysis exist yes, but should these other occurrences be happening no.
Now what does this mean, is something paranormal taking advantage of our paralyzed state to study us, or to terrorize us, I do not know, but plan to find out as much as I can, but I will not accept "Researchers are not Sure" Will you?
If anything I find it insulting that scientist have not spent anymore time researching this epidemic and feel fine with writing it off to, well we just don't know. you can read more of their denials at Meet The Brain located here Don't buy into it folks, if even one of them experienced the sleep paralysis with a supernatural twist, I don't think this article would even exist. Do you?
More to come....I promise, hold in there and visit the forums and record your experiences. The more we know, the more culturally, the more we can compare and find out what is happening to us.

Ok, thought I was crazy but I'm 34 years old and this happed to me 3 times. All 3 times happpened from age 29 on.
ReplyDeleteI'm sleeping in bed sometimes on my back, or other times on my tummy. I will recognize that I'm in some type of lucid, comfortable state when I begin to float ever so slightly. I am aware that this sensation is pleasant, almost fun, like I'm on some smooth, silent airplane with significant turbulence that I feel to be safe. Most times I also feel a slight whirling sensation with this dipping/rising turbulence. Then suddenly after a few moments of this, I am pressed down into the mattress, paralyzed, with no physical pressure on my skin. I am immediately aware that a "being" (that I am unable to open my eyes and see) is resting lightly on top of me with his face on mine, cheek to cheek, speaking in my ear. His voice is a cross between a gravely, clicking voice and a whisper. I can never really make out anything that he says but I get the feeling he is telling me he finds me interesting or attractive--but I'm not sure. I never get terrified, it's completely weird. I make a point of mentally communicating that I'm not scared and that I do not appreciate the invasion of space, peaceful sleep, etc. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Hello and Welcome,
ReplyDeleteI have copied your question to the forum located at www.old-hag.com and then click on forum for others to discuss as well.
To answer your question, YES, I have had a male deep husky voice whisper in my ear that he would never leave me alone. Most the time I cannot understand what "they" say, but one night I could understand him perfectly.
I have also heard him attempt to whisper other things in my ear a couple times, but blocked it out with praying to be rid of him. I sorta wished I would have listened to what else he had to say, but was to afraid, and am glad I chose not to really. The oath of not ever leaving me alone is enough. This blog and website are both new and is just now getting attention so please check back with us and the forum for others input and their experiences. I have posted alot of my experiences on the about me page as well.
Hope to hear more from you, take care.
Sherry
When I was a child I had an experience with a black robed figure that I do not believe was sleep paralysis. I was able to move and pinched my arm til i drew blood. It didnt whisper it very calmly said you're mine. I heard it in the house and when it came up the steps. It stopped outside the door and then the door knob began to turn. I thought someone had broken in. I feared we were all going to die. I could hear my dad snoring loudly in the next room. There was plenty of other paranormal activity in the house. I was five in my first dealings with this stuff. I was the only one in the family that saw or had any experience. When we moved it had one last hooray before i found a sense of peace for a little while. I am still trying to find out what or who this figure was and there is a relief that I am not alone. d figure that I do not believe was sleep paralysis.
